One of the oldest Ink bottle and pot makers was Stephen's Inks
They made the originals Inks in ceramic pots

In the old days if you wanted to send a parcel you would use a
brown paper and glue. Stephen´s made a special white ceramic
dish with a rubber cylinder were the sticky brown paper was
rolled over to make it wet to use on the parcels.

This is a rare item to find, and was made c1910
